So if i gather correctly,
Brit "working-class" = US 'lower'**middle-class/blue-collar/laborers/workers,
Brit "middle-class" = U.S. professional/white collar/yuppie class, and
the Landed Aristocracy = Social Register-listed rich people, other East Coast "Old Money",
and other sundry "Dirty $exy Money" types, etc.,
Tories, U.K. = Conservatives aka U.S. Republican Guards,
The Normans = the Pilgrim Fathers, Sons/Daughters of the American Revolution,
National Movement-types = Aryan Nations-types (but w/out the Ska?)
The Greens = "Tree Huggers"
Any others?
**because, again,
everyone in the US is middle-class,
no one here is-not middle-class,

UK Northerners are quite self effacive - particularly if you come from
Hull - the nation's pits.
Let's not confuse Middle Class with Nouveau Riche either.
