it was just a suggestion chris, dont get your knickers in a swist ;D)))and compairing the zep in the same catorgory as--that motley crew/crud is an insult to the zep, theres not even the slightest resebleance,i am intitled to my opinion, and thats my view on the matter,i think k.j willl gain by supporting the zep on a mini tour, dont be so negative/judgemental on others about it all, give people a chance to decide for them selfs,i dont know hardly of any person who, once having seen k.j gig,are more than happy to sing the gigs praises-
-motly crew--fans are just airheads, they just would not understand what k.js music is about, that was made clear--zep fans,i do believe they would,as the zep are not(or there fans) a bunch or load of air heads--they think quite deeply, stop knocking them, and give them a chance.
ok i am with you on the price of the ticket factor, but alas what can i do?

Did we already forget the Motley Crue debacle? It would only be that much worse because the fans will be paying that much more for a ticket to see an opening band that they will not give two shits about. If you like Led Zepplin that is fine but I think that would be another foolish move on KJs part. KJ may go off only slightly better in the UK. But no way in the US. They'd want some Paul Rogers Bad Company crap up there.Chris

yeah,i get your meaning, but there was such a mixed bunch at that 02 gig, that they really do have fans of all ages and into a veriety of music, one things 4 sure, there will be no danger of zep fans beeing freaked out by k.j music, how heavy are the zep and there riffs-drums ect/and powerful where loud stage show come into question? there fans are not exactly pussy spinal taps types you know, this isnt fleetwood macs following btw ;D))))) melinda ps who would be freaked out, well, lets, let them have a taste of k.j ;D and why not, imagin the coverage k.j would get alex,i think they will get the credicted great reviews they secretly would love to get just an idear, and what about all that magic between k.j and zep--occult magic i mean

"if they take the opportunity to be the support band for led zep"
I don't know, Melinda --- I think they'd be eaten alive. I hate to suggest it, but your *AVERAGE* Led Zep fan isn't notorious for being especially open-minded.

to be perfectly honest oliver, dont get me wrong, but,i really do think that k.j would get better coverage all around,if they take the opportunity to be the support band for led zepthis year-and "glastonbury" as well,i mean, better ledzep, who absolutly triumphant--earth shattering come back gig at 02 said it all(just reading yet another very good honest review of gig in q/mojo mags this afternoon),than playing along side-- new york dolls,it would be better for k.j,to jump on led zeps wings, they will go higher with them ;)) its just an idear, and if i was them,i would be milking this opportunity until its dry, strike while the irons hot ;P milinda ps isnt march a little short notice 4 them? its already mid-jan!!k.j can always play that other festival in austin next year(wel its up to them isnt it) 2009,where jaz can also get promoting that 10 vol autobiography as well ;D)))) pps dont get me wrong,i am just looking how k.j will benefit the most-however, i hope 4 u.s.a gatherers they choose austin sxsw this/next year,as its been along wait for you lot hasnt it ;/pppps k.j dont need to start anew, what do you mean, they have loads of material-back catalogue, its just a continuation isnt it?!?!> Date: Fri, 11 Jan 2008 11:46:26 -0600> From: bigblackhair at sbcglobal.net> To: gathering at misera.net> Subject: [kj] Anyway we can get KJ to play Austin's South by Southwest Music Fest this March!?> > I tried this in vain last year, but...> > > TO PEOPLE WHO ARE MORE WELL-CONNECTED THAN I:> > Anyway that Killing Joke could do a triumphant, earth-shattering, > back-in-the-game type of thing at Austin's SXSW Music fest this March? > That's always a great place to start anew and all that.
