Amon Duul II's Yeti & Phallus Dei albums have always been favourites

Also those first few Ash Ra Tempel albums rate highly if you like 20 minute
wigouts

Popol Vuh's 1970s albums are beautiful, floaty and cosmic too - steer clear
of the later ones

The only Can album I really like these days is Tago Mago

Anything by Faust......

 

........theres so many, and the term Krautrock seems to cover 

such a wide spectrum....

 

Julian Cope's book is well worth a read

Even better is 'The Crack in the Cosmic Egg' though I think its out of print
now
