Yeah my opinion exactly…the ones Olly cited went down the dead end of Punk
whereas the sound of Stone Cold Crazy went on to develop and flower into the
beauty and majesty of METAL! ;p

Very nice tracks those you shared by Zakary Thaks. But i see them (along
with the Buzzcocks) like an influence to Hardcore-punk, not really Speed
Metal. The sound of 'Stone Cold Crazy' is very "metal", and it's also faster
and more energetic than 'Sheer Heart Attack'.

Also, just 2 years after that Queen song, the Buzzcocks made what most 

people think to be the first 'd-beat" song, "You tear Me Up," which 

sounds light years more developed to me than Queen:

1976! The song kicks ass. It uses the d-beat drum pattern so many other 

punk bands would use, to this day. But there's still a strong case for 

Zakary Thaks in the 60s laying down the blueprint.
