Wow, what a loss. I will miss Carlin way more than Tim Russert (to 
Brits/Europeans/non-Americans: Russert is a US TV journalist whose death 
lately has been the 24/7 topic of the news media -- obsessed as they are 
with a death in their own ranks, but they're taking it to an incredible 
degree of morbidity). Or, er, Bernard Manning's death.
