I love Indian food, and one of the best independent chains in the Midwest is Priya. For future reference :)
And NEVER say "chi-chi" in an Indian restaurant......a friend, who is an immigrant from India, was horrified to see that there was a food chain called "Chi-Chi's".......the look on her face was so exaggerated I didn't think she was upset about slang for breasts (my assumption). She wasn't....."chi-chi" means "shit" in Hindi. By the look on her face, I believed her. I guess I would never use the word around Jaz either.....oh, the possibilities.

???????? The country I live in, the Midwest of America, has alot of Indian restaurants. They are all run by Indian families, and the food is reasonable and fantastic. In fact, we can choose between South and North Indian. Strange to hear that.....-Bette

That's so funny that they're called Curry Hoses in the UK--in the US you can ONLY get Indian food if you're within a few miles of a major city. People in the suburbs and country would be too closed minded to eat anything besides Italian or Chinese anyway (the "redneck agenda/idiot American" in that Green Day song"). In Jay Leno's autobiography, he writes about visiting some remote place in the US several years ago, and seeing "dego salad" on a menu (for salad w/Italian dressing)...
