So, where were you in the Falklands war then ? and why did the U.S. pay for the I.R.A's bombing campaigns in the 80's?
You only entered the Second World War when Japan forced your hand with the attack on Pearl Harbour, up until then you didn't get involved . Also , we didn't finish paying off the monetary debt for WW2 to you until 2006, money that we had to pay the U.S.. 50 years in took for us to repay you the money. That isn't covering out asses, that is bleeding us dry . I wonder whether Kuwait has finished paying for your services.........and how long Iraq will eventually take to pay you off ?
The U.K. forces had a completely different approach in Basra to what the U.S forces had in other parts of Iraq . U,.K. forces took a more diplomatic and peaceful approach with the emphasis being on dialogue and coexistence, whilst the U.S. forces in other parts of Iraq tried to impose themselves through force , attack and intimidation . And due to this, Basra was a lot more peaceful and less violent and problematic than other parts of Iraq .
And if I only wrote to and about people that I liked ..........one keyboard would last me a life time.......

Well, that is true about if there was an invasion, but you have to remember that in World 1 and 2 we did not get involved in your wars until the very end or almost so it goes both ways. Singling out just American soldiers is completely wrong for all soldiers make mistakes in wars even yours. So don't say yours is better than ours which sounds like what you are saying. Because we covered your asses too and will and still do if there was something to go down! We are both in the same Ally boat.
If you do not like Oliver, why even write about him and who he has voted for?

Oliver previously stated whom he voted for and I was wondering as to why he made his choice.American Politics mean a lot to me, because if your President decides to invade another Country , it is my Country which will have to cover your asses . Whilst your boys are out there shooting everything that moves, my boys are out there apologising for your boys behavior I didn't attack Oliver at all , I just asked him his reasons for voting for his choice , there really was no attack at all . I dont like Oliver anyway , so I wont be disliking him just because of whom he votes for . I have not heard Mccain's manifesto and neither have I heard Obamas Manifesto , I do not know what their policies are , so I cannot judge a person by whom he votes for . I just asked Oliver why he voted for Obama .If I has assurances that Obama wouldn't impose Sharia law and if I had assurances that Obama wouldn't legalise drive by shootings.......then I'd probably have voted for him as well.......if I was a U.S citizen, that is.

Why would you even care who Oliver voted for and why???
Why do American politics mean so much to you when you don't even live in the states?
Attacking Oliver is a bit out of line. If he voted for McCan't I would not care. After all we are all human, and that doesn't change me liking him or not.
You know it is all mess with the banks and houses, etc., and we all know that, but the man was the better choice and has his head on straighter than McCain! McCain talks old... About Reagan and what not. Most of the generation who born in the 80's did not live through that bullshit! And after all the Bush leftovers Obama does have a big challenge as any other President would coming into public office for the first time.

What I found a bit discerning about these elections was the lack of discussion about policies amongst the electorate .Maybe they were discussed in the U.S., but on World forums , Americans seems to be discussing trivial things , A Lady even said that she was going to vote for Obama because he had a nice smile WFT !!!! Did she think that if Obama smiles at the Trillion Dollar deficit....then it will reduce itself to a Billion Dollar deficit ? Polices should be paramamount in Elections , but then again , can you trust what the Politicians say ? Obama said that he would spend more on public services and the other bloke (Palins mate) said that he would cut taxes, both of these options are impracticable , with two wars going on, the recession just starting, the Trillion Dollar deficit , the only option is to raise taxes and to cut spending, neither of the Parties would have admitted this because it would have been a vote loser . Obama faces a very difficult task, The U.S's position as the only World Superpower is at stake , China and Russia could surpass the U.S. if Obama doesnt get the U.S back on track . The Billion Dollar deficit , to whom is the Billion Dollars owed to ? Arent the banks going broke ? If the banks called in the debts...wouldn't the Government be insolvent ? > Date: Thu, 6 Nov 2008 02:05:40 -0600> From: bigblackhair at sbcglobal.net> To: gathering at misera.net> Subject: Re: [kj] Oliver...............> > The specter of President Palin forced the hand.> > It was just revealed she did not know Africa was even a continent.
