No, you're thinking of Tammy Wynette (sort of the grandma of female
country voices). I did have a chance to see Loretta Lynn recetnly and
didn't --although I hear she' s pretty over the hill, but a few years
ago did an album w/the White Stripes or something. Also, Emmylou Harris
does quite a bit of stuff w/rockers (Elvis Costello, Jason, Steve
Earle)...

I'll give you Anthony Kiedis.
Anyone who wants to sound like they are shouting but aren't.  
anyone who can hit a gazillion notes and does so only to show off.

Recently, sadly, Nick Cave.  He is getting lazy and pompous at the same
time.  I am really bummed out by this.
Rod "the bod" Stewart. Just for the fact that he said "Tom was coming up
short on Downtown Train". Fuck him.  And his football team.
The sound of Oprah.  I know she doesn't sing.  But as soon as I hear her
voice I want to kick someone in the cunt.
