Doesn't he come from a posh background?  Melville?  Any of the comic book guy musos know the scoop?  That is at least what I have always heard.  I have always questioned his status, so that makes it worse for me, since it would be easy for him to retire, since he lost any fire......he may have had a long, long time ago.
