I have no problem with American politicians identifying with others in this world -- but McCain's schtick was purely a potlical ploy.

  It's not often that American politicians identify themselves / their electorate with foreigners (for whatever reason).  So I was interested to see if your reaction was negative with both McCain and JFK.
