True, they were sort of drinking the blood for fun, although they did eat cooked turtle meat as part of the dinner. I refused to eat or drink either one!

LOL. You are a wee trumped card, ain't ya? I simply said the practice of getting blood from an animal for consumption is done the same way in many parts of the world, and I did not want the discussion to devolve to your level, which you are trying to do now. Re read my response for your edification and clarification. You have proven what everyone has stated about you. It appears you cannot understand that, and I also apologize to the list for feeding a troll. Maybe you better think first about the anonymonity of the Web, and how you are completely unaware of my ethnicity. Whoa, there are modern Asian centers of commerce in the world? You don't say. I see the light, little one. Don't fuck with me, fella. This ain't my first time at the rodeo.

There is a difference between eating animals as nourishment and killing animals for entertainment . And I did say that generally Asians treated animals horrendously and by your statement below, you seem to be saying that Asians are primitive. For your information, many Asians Cities are more modern and developed that European Cities , so cut all your racist bullshit about saying that Asians are primitive .

Huh? Ever known a Polish person? Blood soup is quite popular, and that is how it is done (slashing the jugular). Please let us not devolve into a "well, primitive people treat animals this way, while civilized people treat animals humanely". Visit a local slaughterhouse if one has any questions. I assume everyone here is a herbivore to have such strong feelings about "violence towards animals"?

If it was primitive people hunting and eating turtles as a staple diet, then I could accept that . But I feel that Gregs family doing that to a turtle wasn't for nutritional purposes , it sounds like it was done for entertainment and killing animals for entertainment is sickening .

I'm very opened minded about cultures, but that's beyond the pale to me.

That is inhumane and quite vile .The way Asians in general treat animals is quite disgraceful .(Apart from Cows in India)

SPeaking of, when I was in Vietnam (August) w/my wife's family, we went to a large seafood restaurant and her male relatives drank blood from a turtle that had it's throat slit at the table!!
