Wait a minute... 
 
Correct me if I am wrong. But didn't Youth in his blog say they played  that 
new song "Time... something" rather at one of these Japan  shows?

Vox and Select went the  way of all mediocre music publications - every
publisher was jumping on the  bandwagon trying to do the monthly thing
and with Q and Mojo there were  simply too many. Select wasn't bad,
I still think, but Vox was a bit crap  and always destined to fail.
Mat Smith was a good mate of mine for some  time - we went to many
KJ gigs together back in the day -  driving up  to Leicester on the
Firedances tour being a memorable night out! - we  eventually
went our own ways, but I saw him at the 2003 KJ gigs and he  sent
me an email when Raven died. We actually met at journo college  purely
because of KJ - I was wearing a What's THIS For! t-shirt sat in  the
canteen one day and he spotted a fellow weirdo and came over
and we  started talking about how KJ scared the shit out of us. 

Dave Simpson  reviews music for the Guardian now, Andy Peart - no idea.

Had liver and  onions for tea t'other day :)

Hey Neil,

I've just found your review of  Pandemonium from Vox magazine in '94! Vox and 
Select - whatever  happened to them!? Do you know "Black" Mat Smith, Dave 
Simpson and Andy  Peart? They were other journos who went against the grain and  
wrote good things about KJ (and had phobias about liver and/or  maggots?)

Or maybe just that they actually  played all of the 21 or 22 songs that were 
on the 2nd night set-list ...  unlike in Milan !!!

When Youth says "we finally got the running order of the  second set right"...
erm, aren't they just playing Pandemonium from  beginning to end and then
some singles? Does that take a lot of  working out? ;-)
