[kj] (OT) Police Brutality part 2 - p.s.

Honestly, I think the woman in that video got what was coming to her. Not so much the baton-action, but the slap in the face, definitely. That doesn't mean I think it's cool that cops can get away with manhandling people, beating the shit out of whomever they please and whatnot. But, in this particular case: If you don't want to get slapped in the face and hit in the legs with a cop's baton, don't go screaming in his or her face. Simple. Hell, you run that risk by screaming in anyone's face. Just because you have the legal right to do something, that doesn't necessarily make it a good idea. Same goes for your buddy in the holding cells. Don't get lippy with the cops. There's a good chance you'll get your ass kicked. *Again* I'm not saying I think it's right that they deliver such ass-kickings. I just think that a lot of trouble can be avoided by flying under the radar.

Don't scream in a cop's face. Cuz you'll probably get your grill all smashed in. Or maybe you'll just get told to calm down. It's kind of a Russian Roulette scenario.

Anyways, that's all from me on the topic. You can all go back to agreeing with each other until the server gives out.

You attack his post for being slanted and then
offer no contrary evidence yourself. I know you’re being sarcastic but
recounting situations of police brutality doesn’t imply that they are all like
that. Fact is, a lot are, it’s the culture with a lot of police forces.

Next Thursday I’m meeting up for lunch with
my cousin who also lives in Sydney ,
he’s a cop. And Christian…

And I’ve seen police brutality first hand,
I spent a night in the cells 4 years ago and saw a huge cop kick a little crim
down a hallway for being lippy.

Sarcasm on.

I don't wanna make any crazy assumptions here but I'm willing to bet that there
is possibly a LITTLE BIT more to these stories than what you've offered. Also
willing to get you didn't witness either of these events.

FACT: All cops are ASSHOLES!
FACT: Every protester in the whole entire world is a SAINT!

Sarcasm off.

Just last year in Boston
a white college student was standing around after the basketball championship
was won. He made a wisecrack to a cop (something like "who are going to
arrest today"), the pigs jumped him and he died of some heart
condition right away. The pigs waited a while before they even called an
ambulance, so the parents sued the pigs. And after the World Series a
few years ago they shot another college student w/a pepper bullet gun and
murdered her, just for sitting on a wall outside the ballpark. I guess being on
the street after a game is also a crime and the death penalty is
punishment.
