After seein the endgames video i thought that title had been used before.I was flicking through some Godflesh cds when I spotted it-track 3 on 'Us & Them'. This was their penultimate album and was patchy apart from endgames/whose truth is your truth(immense)/control freak & the internal. This coming after godflesh's most consistent album songs of love & hate with the excellent circle of shit plus 6 other stormers.Hymns was another strange one. The second half of the cd was wonderful-for life/animals/vampires/anihuman apart from the last track-Jesu.
After buying all the Jesu stuff apart from the last one-Infinity?I have become pissed off with the average songs and the crap sound. The only Jesu track I love is Walk On Water which is anthemic and I usually bury my dead animals listening to this(living in the country this is a frequent occurrence).
.
The point is why does he bother?Having almost nailed it with Godflesh then presenting this Jesu crap. Unless the last one was good? I see he is producing disc 2 of October File-I really cannot wate for this album & i hope they support but fear the worst(labels)
What do Gatherers think of Mob Research? I thought this was an excellent project. I was training in Italy during the summer when i got hold of this & the tracksHoly Cit Zoo/ New Paridigm/Manufactured Terror/Skull & Bones/Sky God/& Atmosphere I thought were awesome. The fillers were shit & i detest remixes but I just loved the guitar sound. Reminded me of the underated Chester band - Mansun.
More up to date I agree with Paul Rangecrodt sarcasm, I thought Endgames was excellent -very tribal & the other clips- the third one is going to be white heat.I hope Geordie's pinches some riffs from his first lot of demos. The reaction to those demos was that Killing Joke had been holding Geordie back
