I was thinking as I was lying awake in bed last night of how the above track could have been a Christmas hit in 1986 if released. It's got that feel to it. Most gatherers probably don't like BTATS that much and especially OTG.
I agree that Sanity & Adorations were the singles but Goodbye to the Village was an extra & I thought that was an excellent and very marketable track.
For the Love Of The Masses is one of my personal favourites along with Rubicon.

I played these 2 albums to people who hate Killing Joke recently and also played more representative albums on which they thought Geordie's guitar sounded evil but they all loved Southern Sky and loved tracks 4&5 from OTG but commented that the title track sounded massively overproduced.

My other point is that if i won the lottery I would pay Killing Joke to re-record these 2 albums with a heavier sound. I think America could be left alone and My Love Of This Land but Obsession could've been even better. It was Raven who commented on the lyrics in that Sounds interview taht it sounded like 'what i did on my holidays by Jaz aged 6'-he also threatened to 'step on Jaz' if he saw him in the pub. I can also remember an interview around the BTATS time when Jaz boasted ? that he only live round the corner from Geordie but would never go round to his house or something like that.
