ZZ Top has kind of moved away from the instantly listenable radio-friendly
singles the last decade or so back to a more traditional, although somewhat
generic Texas blues/rock sound and vibe. The last really catchy tune
they've done that stood out for me was "Beatbox" off the "XXX" album from
about '99. The last couple albums are solid but unmemorable. But yeah,
Billy's still a badass on guitar and they seem to be playing a lot of tunes
off "El Loco" these days which is still my favorite album by them.
