[kj] Antithesis of Killing Joke

Yacht rock bands. Chicago are clearly monstrous, but I'd add Toto, the
Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, Kenny Loggins, Air Supply et al.

 

Musically, spiritually and emotionally bankrupt, the lot of them.  Fie.

I would disagree.
Both KJ and MJ are influenced by dance music
Both KJ and MJ focus on environmental issues in their lyrics
Both KJ and MJ (sometimes) have grinding guitars (Slash has played with MJ)
Kiss/Rush are moreso of Killing jokes antitheses, moreso then MJ is .

I agree.

Among the gazillion of bands that are antithetical to KJ, I'd also add
Chicago and their abuse of Bauhaus t-shirts:
