Moreover, the guy they brought in to replace him -- Ripper Owens --
was plucked from a Judas Priest cover band. It's that rags-to-riches
story that inspired the dubious Mark Wahlberg film, "Rock Star."
Halford went and did a couple of solo records and forged the project
TWO -- an industrial band for Trent Reznor's NOTHING label. None of
this mattered.
Halford went onto rejoin Priest and they recently released a double
concept album about the life of Nostradamus. That may sound silly --
and it is, really -- but it's certainly no sillier than OUTSIDE THE
GATE.
My question: Where is Ripper today?
