I've actually found my audio work flow more efficient and intuitive with the PC platform vs the Mac platform. But, if it were strictly visual production, I would go with the Mac platform. On the other hand, I can build me a screaming PC for half the cost that suits my multimedia production and audio needs. 
 
I found Logic to be a bit convoluted. My approach is a bit more modular. But, of course Reason is modular (which I don't have, but would be interested for a test drive). I use a combination of software and hardware. I found, just software is too limiting and not "hands on".

Trueish, although less so than a couple of years back. You can use Reason, Cubase, Live, and in my view all the decent plugins (Waves, NI, ImpOSCar, etc. etc.) on both platforms these days. Logic’s the Mac-only (and is fantastic – I was dumbstruck when I saw what you get for the money with Logic Studio), versus Sonar being PC-only.
 
What have I missed?
