Bennett played with Wilco from 1994 to 2001, leaving the Americana band because of a fall-out with band leader Jeff Tweedy.

It is being ruled as a accidental overdose of pain medication.  I guess the patch he was on has been recently recalled because it has been known to leak.  He was about to go through some hip surgery
