Testify, Brother Alex.
Truth is, Killing Joke have usually been disappointing at festivals; it's just not their vibe.
Honourable exception: KJ at Reading in 1986. (And actually Finsbury Park in 1991 was pretty good as well.) But am I going to pay £300 to see them in Minehead... nope. I guess Rebellion is cheaper, but still will probably suck. Yeah, roll on some proper gigs...

I know this comment is going to prompt ire, but isn't that a bit..... beneath them?
Seriously, seemingly since about day one, Killing Joke have taken GREAT PAINS to spell out that NO, they're NOT simply another Punk band, and then go onto to strenuously cite Jaz's myriad musical accomplishments, Yoof's fondness for disco, Geordie's fondness for metal, etc. etc.
Still, a gig's a gig, I guess.
