Absolutely. Scenes and genres suck. Good toonage, is good toonage :)
Plus most music is subjective..so I don't suppose someone in Banbury England is going to relate to rap from South Central LA too well..even if they do insist on wearing their jeans below their arse.

All this labelling nonsense is so meaningless anyway. There is only one criterion when it comes to music; quality. Good / Not Good / Celine Dion. If you’re more preoccupied with the tribe or the pose than the music, you’re absolutely and totally missing the point, in my view.
