Not defending anyone. Notice I referred to Rush
when using the term "Moral Compass" .

The point I was trying to make is when you
disagree with someone why not defeat the person
based on debate/opinion and actions. Not on the
concept of "ohhh I hope he/she fucks up".
If you (not YOU per se) need that type of
occurrence to happen in order to point out flaws
it is a sign that you simply can't beat them and
that you can't prove them wrong.
