i feel for you brendan but may i advise you to take the retcent approach and say to yourself ''oh well can't have everything '' like i'm sure all here have at one dissappointing point in thier life ....lots of bands i missed seeing original sabbath/deep purple /e l p /greenslade /bob marley /culture/pink floyd to name a few

i would like to see p.i.l reform and do the first three albums-plus album and happy,just for an extra treat ;D
 
plus i would like to see led zeppelin reform for good not just a one of like in dec 07 i was lucky i saw them then,but many thousands missed out ;(

On the subject of bands reforming and as mentioned in this article, there can't be a lot left.
We've had Sex Pistols, Magazine, Gang Of Four, KJ (original), Faith No More, Pixies...the list goes on and on.
The one I'd like to see again is a first two LP era PiL.
