The DK one has an entirely different take on the lyrics.

I’ve tried to like the Clash on several occasions, because one feels one ought to.
But I really don’t.
Dead Kennedys did the best version of “I Fought The Law”, as well.

Today i gave a listen to some Clash tunes here at work, and after listening a couple of times "The Magnificent Seven" it was evident to me that Jaz has some Joe Strummer influence in his singing. It's not the first time i think about this, but today after listening this song carefully I found some very familiar shoutings/screams, you know, the ones that go between the verses, some sort of "encouraging" choirs/screams by Joe Strummer. Those are pretty similar to the ones that you can find on songs by Killing Joke, let's say Pssyche (actually is it Pssyche or Psychee!?!?).
What do you think?
Nice weekend

(In a rainy and shakey Mexico city.
Just experienced a 5.9 Richter earthquake a coupe of hours ago.
No damages thankfully.)
