the vericose veins into any desired shape. Cool!!

Someone must have told him if you work too hard... you can sweat"

I could *probably* do it, but if I'm being honest, they're bands I'd only know two or three song from each (if even that). The fact of the matter is, however, that I just don't have the time that I did as a younger person to invest in seeking out and immersing myself in new music.
I work with a guy who is about ten years younger than I, and he's constantly turning me onto new bands (mostly hardcore). It's cool, but I have to catch myself from saying cliched things like "Well, in my day, hardcore singers actually *sang*!" or saying "well, they're obviously just ripping off _____ (insert older band name here)." Like it or not, I'm an old poop.
I'm perfectly content with being 42. My parents listened to stuff like Cat Stevens and Sergio Mendes & Brazill `66, so it ain't like they spend a lot of time lamenting newer crops of music. But I know what you mean.
Maybe it's important to stay hip and informed, but I don't ever want to be that guy. You know the one I mean. The oldest dude in the club, strenuously trying to prove how hip he is to the young folks.
here's a perfect example of what I'm talking about:
