I totally agree.
the odd track shines but for the more part it just doesn't work for me to the point i can no longer listen to them.
Having said that, perhaps there's something that gets lost in translation & you really need to experience them live to 'get it'?
I find a lot of Jack White's stuff is hit then zzzzzzzzzz.
I genuinely believe he's a huge talent but find him a bit like celery; I really want to like it, will always give it a go, but can never decide if I enjoyed it or not.
