Support bands, seen a few good ones, the following would be the top of the piles:
1883: March Violets supporting Danse Society (they were better!)
1919 supporting Play Dead (pre-love of the Joke, but maybe they got me thinking about those tribal rhythms)
1986: Wedding Present supporting Big Flame
Batfish Boys supporting RLYL (miles better, exhausted myself at front before headliners!)
1987: Batfish Boys supporting ASF ( not as good as headliners, but both bands were superb, one of best gigs attended)
1991/1995: Gallon Drunk supporting The Cramps
1994: Thee Raygunns supportiing The Meteors (real high class RnR)
2009: The Fungus Moth supporting some mediocre improvising quartet. Needless to say the headliners seemed rather mundane & weedy after that!!
The Fungus Moth.
Challenging the Future.

Joy Division supporting Buzzcocks in Blackburn - can't remember much about
this.
Gang Of Four supporting The Rezillos (It think) - watched a couple of song -
thought they were not up to much and went back to the bar - oh dear.
If only I had a time machine.
Brian.
