Thanks a lot for the info! would look out to find "eyes wide shut" soundtrack to download! this song is awesome!!

How could I have forgotten about "sticks and stones" from Masque! I think they mention Jaz as The Bastard Maestro!!!

Am I the only one on the list that finds Masque to be an excelente record?? I rather listen to Masque over Carved or Grains!!!

well, I also like OTG!

The song is called "Masked Ball" and is by someone called Jocelyn Pook...

who´s the performer and what´s the name of the song that KJ uses alongside Blade Runner´s Main Theme before going onstage?

last week I saw a The Mission concert on video from Bochun in 2005 and they used the same song (without BR´s Main Theme) before going onstage. Someone knows if they do have any connection with Youth or Killing Joke (as far as I remenber Youth did a mix on one of their singles, but don´t know which one)

Joy Division supporting Buzzcocks in Blackburn - can't remember much about this.
Gang Of Four supporting The Rezillos (It think) - watched a couple of song - thought they were not up to much and went back to the bar - oh dear.

If only I had a time machine.

I've seen some great support bands:

Lords of the New Church (supporting the Damned)
Play Dead (supporting Killing Joke)
Big Black (supporting Killing Joke)

...but I've also seen a lot of cack!

Listen to you lot! ;-)
There are some fucking great local bands here in the UK.
Problem is the default position from the fans is " it's not our band so......."
Some of the "local" Oxford bands did ok I guess. Radiohead......supergrass........watch out for little fish too.
When Kj supported joy Division they would have been seen as a bunch of no hopers by some.
Go to the gig. Have a beer. Open your ears and shut the fuck up....;-)

Chances are, yes, they will all be godawful. All local bands being picked by the local promoters. Guarantee KJ are not hand-picking these bands. If they have any sense at all, they'll be comfortable on their bus or in the backstage area while the local yokels bore us all to tears. I swear to god, I've spent more time in my life waiting for bands to stop playing than anything else.
