Javier's hit the nail on the head - it's got the vital combination of underlying dance groove with a very hard edge.  In that sense it does indeed remind me of Pssyche!

I wondered if my initial enthusiasm would wear off - it hasn't.

Kali Yuga has the most pure Killing Joke characteristics in it: Very danceable, with some disco beats and disco bass line; sustained keyboards on the background; ok maybe not too much of that charming and distinctive Geordie sound, but still it´s there in the "muted guitar-strings mode", and Jaz is singing instead of growling!!. 
It´s not that "Mass" nor "Aeon" to me, i see it like a new "Pssyche". And If i have to make the comparison i´d second it has a bit of that "Democracy" feeling. 

I totally love the song!!
