Yeah I pretty much qualified exactly what you just wrote when I said the
[opening] band "emailed [that] me as far as he knew they were still
pening for KJ in Montreal on the scheduled date. he had heard nothing
about a cancellation. And they're an opening band. Not that KJ can be
above fucking over their opening acts. :) I'm just saying - this one
opening band in Montreal had heard nothing about KJ canceling."

In other words, I wrote exactly nothing that disagrees with what you
felt the need to school me on I was just throwing it out there as a
piece of the puzzle, grasping at straws yet also saying, "Hey, here's
what I know, for what it's worth.". I didn't say "HEY THIS MEANS IT'S
STILL ON." At all. You wrote: "Most bands and their management couldn't
give a f(*& about some podunk opening band." Sadly, you are right. And
yet I had already said: "Not that KJ can be above fucking over their
opening acts," before you mentioned management's shit attitude.

I understand a lot of self important people could give a shit about
grassroots, "podunk," etc., opening bands, referred to with contempt and
derision often for no valid reason. Which sucks, and more's the pity.
Doesn't reflect well on how music managers treat people who help make
their industry possible. The industry they live off. Anyway, not even
sure what the point of your post was, since I qualified my own statement
pretty clearly.
