See you in Prague then Chris - I think we'll be there for a couple of days that weekend, then I'm hoping to pursuade Iain that we head to the Tatras Mountains for some hiking & biking later in the week (instead of going on to Katowice & Warsaw as planned).
 
Fortunately we'd only booked our return trains from Manchester to Prague via Cologne, so nothing lost getting to the other gigs, and we can be flexible for the rest of the holiday... and the only gig tickets we have is London.
 
I've given up booking holidays expecting to see Killng Joke - it's just a nice surprise if they don't cancel...

Yep fraid it's true. I had a phone call last night (don't ask) telling me that because the new album is "so fucking hot" the record company want to "promote the shit out of it" and don't have the time to give it maximum exposure. Seems it's out of the bands hands *looks upwards* and they are not happy.  Can't say much more at the moment.
 
Fucking lame!
 
I said they should at least honour some dates (London, Prague, Paris etc.) as the fire is beginning to burn out and the true Gatherers are getting a little chilly.  Wonder if they give a flying fuck!
 
Going to Prague for a weekend away anyway as I'm fucked if I'm losing out.

I heard today from a reliable source that it is all off ... and it's due to the record company wanting to properly promote the album cos they like it so much ... if that's true Spinefarm are a bunch of spineless tossers ... these dates were set up ages ago ... why not just release a single now and do a further tour in the autumn ...

I'm going to go off on a limb here, but I blame Spinefarm records. Why? Because, honestly, if you're moronic enough to name your business venture "Spinefarm," I'd say there's a 99% chance that you really don't have your shit in order.
