I think the metal aspect of Pandemonium overshadows any trance/dance elements. I barely notice that there is a drum machine or any dance elements at all when listening.

Is it me or does it help to also like trance/dance to further get into Pandemonium? hmm..

Extremities to me sounded like some of the boys had been hanging out with Pigface, Murder Inc. et al. Oh wait a minute, they had
been....I think I'd heard to many bad albums from the Atkins camp at the time; I was listening to very different sounding music at
the time of its release, too.
Pandemonium was a much more 'contemporary' album for the time, and I find the production a lot more solid.
The production of Extremities stinks of alcohol.
Folks who like Pandemonium typically like Democracy. Those who like Extremities, do not. This could go on forever, music's
subjective! :)

Despite Extremities signaling the band's welcome move to an edgier, harder sound, I've always found it to be one of my least
favorite KJ albums and I agree with your overall opinion of it. While I think Pandemonium's production is quite muddy, overall that
album still ranks among my top 5 KJ albums in their entire catalog.
