Erm...I was wearing a grey jumpsuit....*cringe*









That's right.  Stood there in the blazing heat cueing for a t shirt whilst Icehouse did their entire set and I missed it.  Someone threw a set of keys to him at the end and he did an entire improv around them.  
What did you all think of the Cracked Actor routine?  Bit by bit he assembled the whole thing, so cool to realize what was happening.  

Only time I saw him.  Best leave it at that I reckoned.

hay i was at that gig as well lol i remember  it was a blazing hot day-beat n bowie were great-me n some friends drove up from the west country for it ;)

There I was in 1983 in the Milton Keynes bowl, standing at the front of 20,000 at about 6 at night, wondering where David Bowie was?
 
Without any warning, The Beat walked on.  Had no idea.
 
Two hours later I'd have gone home then.  Genius.  All they ever did was get everyone up and dance, nothing but good vibes.  Saxa returned for that gig and dueted with their new player.  After that, Bowie.  

Sometimes life don't get no better.  Have a good gig.
