Right, the fusion of guitar, electronics, heavy/dance rhythm section, the " 'tude,"(punk/social/critical/etc.), their formal musical training, they are of a very different paradigm, maybe even their own.
(to those "in the know," is the above description verging on "Prog Rock" or what?)
Anyway, Geordie with a bow!: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7746173539497094657#
Geordie with a bow AND a Theremin!
They could then tour the Pandemonium album one more time and redefine themselves all over again.

I have never seen KJ as a strictly 'guitar' band.
There are 303s and all sorts in there (early days). It's the crafty guitar/synthesizer harmonizing that was (is) an attraction to me...They're also highly rhythmic, to state the obvious..
I’ve got to say that what they created with their band was running out of stream with all those keyboard bands that were taking over. They were doing some really intense and dense stuff. I’m pleased to give this award to some real innovators and it’s Killing Joke.’’
