[kj] More bitching

when i'se a young-un, auckland had three quite good record stores- corner
records (where i got my boxset 'incomplete collection'), revival records,
and groovy.  groovy is the biggest and is still going, with books mags and
clothes etc.. back in the day it was just music (records and tapes, then
cd's).. it was fuckin cool, guaranteed to catch up with friends without
planning, a real hub.
there were others, but they weren't cool, marbecks, hmv etc.. (i never liked
hmv - their punk/alt section always seemed fake and pretentious)

alot of the time, we would find new bands just by checkin out what tshirts
ppl were wearing at gigs!


ah, memories of being young and hip! LOL
