Perhaps I should have specified: "No-one without masses of disposable income."
There are hundreds of CDs I've bought because I've discovered they're worth hearing (by downloading), so accusations of theft do somewhat irritate me.

That's funny. Out of the 13,000 or so albums in my collection, I've maybe heard a couple hundred of them before buying -- and most of them I don't regret buying. (I'm not disputing the rest of your points, but I really hate these types of generalizations.)
