No answer to that!  Mind you, if you had to choose between a Fender Telecaster on your head as you threaten your heroes from the pit, or a Yamaha CS80 - all 100kg of it??  Synths are well-hard.  Drop one on your foot and see?

Human League got started because they were able to purchase this big Roland modular system that had come on the market.  Aaah, the Korg MS10?  Little beauty.  I briefly had an MS2000 but never got to know it & my mate persuaded me to replace it with a Nord mk 1 rack.  That was a bit buggered so I ended up with a Moog Voyage rack (like a mistress in the living room that the Wife never ever suspects...) and a Virus TI Polar.  Got a Midiverb 3 for the delay etc for the Moog and an Akai MPC1000 to round it off.  All you need in life.  I bought a Tascam DP 02 Portastudio too.  Bugger computers.  Now all I need to do is to be able to actually play a keyboard.  
That never stopped Oakey and Ware, which was why they did it in the first place.  Whereabouts can I listen to your music, Mr/s Folk Devil???

Paul..I've 'tinkered' with all sorts of synths, predominantly Roland and Korg...still do :)
