Next week I'm seeing Kyuss Lives, and QOTSA, at the same festival gig. Never
seen anything Kyuss or QOTSA related before - I've booked tickets to see
Kyuss lives in May as well, so I feel like a very lucky little stoner
rocker.
I'm with you - if I had to choose one, it'd be Garcia. But I'd pay twice as
much to Kyuss in their entirety, there's not many bands I'd see over the
original line up. I get the impression that might actually happen before too
long.

Subject: Re: [kj] If..
I was having just such a nerdy conversation with a mate the other day about
this,
what with so many bands reforming/playing again with different members etc.
We were talking about the Kyuss reunion - the lack of Josh Homme doesn't
bother me at all (for me Kyuss is still Kyuss as long as John Garcia is
singing),
whereas for him it isn't Kyuss precisely because Homme is missing.
I'd still go and see Killing Joke without Jaz, but it wouldn't be Killing
Joke! But then
the same goes for Geordie. Curiously, I probably wouldn't bother seeing them
if
Jaz was there but Geordie wasn't. Stand in? Put the drum kit up front and
let
BPF take over...

2. Richard Lewis from 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'.

1. Would you still go?
2. Who would you have stand in for him?
