The Headcount boys asked me to put him out of action for a while... said I'd get a bonus if I did his guitar arm...

Did they not play some at Oxford when you tried to break my arm/leg/back/neck?

I really have no idea!

Brighter Than A Thousand Suns does indeed sound dated (even the remastered version), but there are some great songs. The gigs from that period were blinders, and revealed the underlying power of the songs...

Sadly, I don't believe we got to hear (live) any tracks from Hosannas; ditto OTG. I'd love to hear some of the latter live, just to see whether the awesomeness of KJ live might counterbalance the shit-ness of the studio versions.

I dug Hosannas out for the first time in a while a couple of weeks ago.
Still don’t rate it very highly – a handful of half decent songs shine through the muddy production,
And they would have been more than half decent if they’d been half the length they were.

I never could stand the glossy BTATS production, although the remaster is a big improvement !!
Some decent songs on it, mind

I’ve always loved Democracy especially the layers and layers and layers of Geordies guitars

Peter

Hosannas may not have lived up to expectation, but it is still very listenworthy..

just tweak the EQ a bit and away ya go..

there is classic KJ in that thar album, its just let down in a few places (insert yr own pet peeve here), but on the whole, should not be written off, and not be put away and not played!

Im with Alex on this one, Hosannas is a terrible album, with only one good song on it and dire production. And Ive got to say, I dont think Absolute Dissent is a whole lot better.

BTATS is one of my all time favorite albums.

HOSANNAS is a brilliant album!
Geordie on top form and the last one to feature the great Raven.

Only one album worse than OTG and that is Democracy , so very dull in compariosn to the rest

There is no way in this or any other universe that OTG is better than Hosannas. As disappointed as I am with Hossannas it at least has some of the best Geordie riffs ever.
