Ooooh....great analogy!  I will definitely be at one of those shows, if at all humanly possible.  I get a similar vibe from that record (Moving Pictures) as from some of the darker KJ records of said era...the great analog synths/sequencers paired with amazing (tribal) drumming & impeccable guitar tones (ala, Gibson/Hiwatt, etc.), matched with a backdrop of existential philosophy...(I won't mention songs like "Eminence Front" or "Abacab" for fear of being forcibly removed from The Gathering...any takers???  *Ducking for cover*)...

Just saw the ad today! Rush will be touring this summer playing the "Moving Pictures" album in its entirety! L.A. dates are for June 20 and 22nd. 
People, this is like Killing Joke touring "Extremities, Dirt, And Various Repressed Emotions" in its entirety. 
Not to be missed.
