[kj] European Superstate Video on post-production

What astonishes me is this:

The recent visuals for Killing Joke have been plain old naff.  I'm really surprised that (a) the band don't have sufficient pride in the overall offering to want something better; and (b) they don't have sufficient clout with their record company to insist on something better.

And given that there is a tried and tested option available...

Looking at the Vertical Smile LP box, it just brings a smile (no pun intended...) to
your face. Yes it was a high price for an album but then it was a work of art, not just
a record, and that's how it would feel if Colesy was in charge of all things KJ, at least
as far as 'art' was concerned. But I asked him if he would try and do a new KJ
release on Malicious Damage and the look on his face - well, I think it is best
described as 'life is too short'.

Some of their artwork however, has been brilliant...and I think the band should be forever indebted to Mike Coles.
