I was just reading about a tsunami in 1755, apparently 10 stories (30M)
high. I don't know whether the frequency of disasters is increasing or
we're going through a clusterf**k of them, but none of the actual events
are unprecedented. Perhaps their frequency is, and the planet has never
been as densely populated with humans before...
