It was shot down long before the French started their operations. It's obviously been one of Gaddafi's planes at some point, but who was piloting it then and what happened is pretty much unknown.
 
And you're not seriously suggesting that international arms dealers are unethical, are you? Tsk tsk.

Seems likely it’s a pro-Gaddafi Mig shot down by a French Rafale jet, which would make sense. Funny thing is Gaddafi has a few French Mirages…oops how did that happen? (He also bought weapons from Italy…).
