Today's Guardian has this, with a few mentions of the Joke:

NB The journalist says (in response to a question in the comments below the article) that he was talking to them before Jaz "disappeared".

Anyway, quite a good interview (speaking as someone who never really rated the Cult).  They come across as reasonably sound and not as up themselves as I'd have expected.
