Ah, tricky question that. I am wading (sic) through The Raven right now. It will take some performing to avoid knocking out the audience due to its length and severity unless I can do it in an interesting way. The Raven needs to be chopped up into its paragraphs and each one is a seperate scene. There is this constant danger of it becoming a grim, long-distance dirge. We shall see?
This is meant to be a show of poetry, story and the odd song that people at the bar at the other end of the room would be interested in. So The Raven is my biggest challenge right now. Thanks for bringing it up as you have spurred me on. ..AND DAMN THAT BASTARD GRISWOLD!!!
Real Poe fans? The Raven? *Ahem*...

Will you be performing The Raven, or do real Poe fans not care for that one?
Sounds interesting, anyway. Best of luck.

EDGAR ALLAN POE AND FRIENDS.
Born 1809, died 40 years later. Conan Doyle and Jules Verne said they'd be nowhere without his inspiration. Never dating, always fresh, but do you really know Edgar Allan Poe?
My big Poe show is on the Montague Arms on the 12th January at 830. New Cross pub. All the details to be found upon Hop - Frog's link below.

I perform with some support too, I am humbled to say. So far, 5 poems, one story and two songs, in amongst a sea of biography.
Poetry, story, images onstage, synthesizer and guitar music and some singing, with a little bit of Morrissey. Love lost, beauty faded to death.
Think you know Poe?
Aha...
Poe lives. X
