[kj] Facebook official statement...Jaz gone AWOL

Lately I have been thinking that KJ's intense activity since 2003 (following some seven years of silence) was a sign that Jaz's manic depression was entering the intense-activity phase. I also felt this ten years of prolific (for Killing Joke) output would come to a sudden end as Jaz's mood trended downwards. I wonder if that is beginning now. No doubt I'm speculating too wildly (I hope so) and I am not even sure if Jaz is bi-polar/manic, though I believe he has said that he is.

Disappearing off the face of the earth after an irrational, embarrassing outburst echoes very much of Stephen Fry's bi-polar-related abscondment from the West End all those years ago.

I've a feeling we shall not be seeing another Gathering other for half a decade at least.

Apart from the obvious, Youths line in the D&R trailer springs to mind [something like] "Each time we started to get a little success, Jaz would go & do something to fuck it up"As for Jaz's location, he's probably up his own arse somewhere & got lost.

A statement was posted on Facebook, reputedly by our singer, maligning
both The Cult and The Mission and pulling us out of the shows.
He is now AWOL and has not contacted any of his band mates.

We are deeply embarrassed by this and offer our sincere apologies to all

Killing Joke made a collective decision to play with The Cult and The
Mission in September.

It was agreed by all of the band that we would do these shows. Indeed,
we thought that they were something to look forward to, even though they

and made travel arrangements.

If this proves not possible, Killing Joke will make alternative

locate our missing singer.
