I saw a video (attatched to an online review) of Lydon explaining his artwork on the new cd. He took it quite seriously, and had a detailed explanation of what the buffalomeant (something to do w/respecting one's personal space--wtf?), and how he chose the color scheme ("it's very niiiiice..."), etc. He sounded kind of silly. I still think the cd sounds good though-it really has a PiL feel to it, more than most of their stuff recorded w/Edmunds on guitar. In fact, I think the band was trying to sound like Levine/Wobble on this one...

looks a bit bug like that creature, and lydon does like bugs... anyone seen those dvds of his? he's no attenburrough, but still quite good...
heard the album a few times, not enough to get a grasp on it yet, but did note his singing is rather huskier...

Some kind of cow-related creature might be more appropriate, given that it was an advert for butter that bankrolled the last PiL excursion.

That's clearly not a sheep. Buffalo, maybe, but never a sheep.

Mr. Rot-tone actually lives on a sheep farm (where the PiL album was recorced), thus the artwork. I saw a video somewhere of the recording of the cd, and Rotten was coralling sheep.
Punk rock sheep farms. Somewhow, it makes sense..

True--old Johnny's artwork looks like it was done by a 6th grader with too many crayons.

Worst album cover ever, I'll say that.

Has anybody heard the new Pil album? How is it? I'm waiting for the deluxe edition which won't be released until June 26 here in the u.s.
