Thanks for the update Rob. Sounds like a great project, and I appreciate the significant problems due to the passage of time & the general craziness of Joke-world.

The reason for the delay has been actually getting hold of the master tapes. Some of the tapes that were labelled up as single versions weren't. You cannot believe the amount of difficulties there have been getting hold of them. I have sent my vinyls to them to make new masters but they have tried tracking down the actual edits before making recordings of vinyl.
I am sure that people would rather have the very best than compromises. What has been found ultimately I do not know, but this did slow things down. There were suggestions to use album cuts as sine edits could not be found and they were advised that this would not go down well. This is an expensive product and those paying out deserve the best possible. Universal/spinefarm agreed but this did add to the time frame. Sorry!
Basically there is one guy at universal who has been putting this together and I have been helping him as much as possible. He has been working on this until the early hours on a number of occasions and, though I can understand the frustrations, please believe me when I say that a huge effort has been made to make the product worthwhile.
Of course, it will fall short of some expectations and there will probably have been mistakes made somewhere long the line but when you consider the amount of labels killing joke have been on and how their affairs have been handled previously, it is inevitable.
The management, not faultless, is the best organisation this bunch of ne'er do wells has ever had in my opinion. And they and universal have had the devils own job getting this delivered.
I hope that it will be good. I have not seen/heard all the actual tracks they have finally used so I can't say that it is 100%, but if any influence that I may have had has come to bear fruit, then I hope you can take some comfort.
As for the gigs. I have no idea! I assume all is in good shape!

The idea seems to be that it bookends the career to date and is obviously being used to advertise the singles collection.

Official RSD website lists a UK CD release from KJ called "Nervous System". No other info but something to watch for.
