i think its great that the 2 tracks from otg are on the compilation.
the music is killing joke pure and simple just presented in a different way.
who else could have written a track like 'my Love of this Land'
in some ways it was the 'ultimate' killing joke album as the joke was on us
was described at the time as 'disturbingly good' or sounding like Supertramp!

Indeed. Tracks from OTG should not be on this compilation because OTG WAS NOT A
KILLING JOKE ALBUM.
Ooh it really makes me mad. Still. After all these years...

I love KJ, God bless'em, but "America" is still an impossibly goofy song. I can't believe they included two tracks from "OTG"
at the expense of something like "Turn To Red," but that could be due to licensing issues. After listening to Disc 1 peter out into the ether, we should all thank the Deity that there was ever a Disc 2. It very easily could have been the end to the KJ story. I try to put myself in the place of someone unfamiliar with the band and I don't know what I would think.

Strange that the 3 recent unreleased tracks are all demo/rough mixes. Are there proper finished versions of Timewave, Sixth Sun, and Feast of Fools sitting on a shelf somewhere?

Well finally got mine.
Lovely artwork. Packaging a bit flimsy but ok. Sleeve notes? Made me chuckle. I can see the humour.
Haven't played anything but rarities yet but sixth sun goes on a bit but like the slightly laid back vibe. That new mix of showgirls is sloppy. All the others I've heard so do not get me too excited. FOF is an odd one. Chorus is good but.......
Anyway. It's done! Not totally what I had planned when I got involved but compromises have to be made and overall, a good job done.
Hope you enjoy it.

"piss poor", jon? they cannot possibly be any worse than "laugh? i nearly bought one"'s certainly. though the nazis saluting the bishop imagery has seemingly vaulted that t shirt into megastardom, listings all over amazon from a tonna diff sellers, tho strangely enuff i never have run into a soul wearing one in public..... did bump into a dood wearing a new MMXII t at the thrift store across the street the day after the nyc gig. i chatted him up of course but he had not gone to the gig and seemed bewildered. prolly just hungover, the poor bearded man most likely.
so wot tha heck, jon i would've thought yr name would've been included in th notes. if not then that is piss poor, what with the kwality work you've put in ,what little i know of[the videos + generally to be seen at gigs with an extremeties shirt on] is total class act.
btw whatever happened with that whole "jaz.blackjester" hubbub on the fakebook? did chaplarski investigations ever suss it out. gotta hand it to you on that " you take the cactus" ecard thing, fucking cracked me up for daze.
